Last year we had a work party from the Post Office and this week we had a similar group from BT. These groups are composed of managerial staff from all over England who come for a team building experience while making a contribution to a good cause such as nature conservation. The BT group came on Tuesday to do path building, but they also repaired the holes in our car park. Afterwards, Ranger Matt Johnson gave them a guided tour of the meadow trail.
On the same day we had a visit from some of our district councillors and Longsands VIth form, and Debbie McKenzie found a very nice beetle in the meadow, later identified as a musk long-horn beetle.
