More about the Migration Day.

Willow warbler on the Meadow Trail.
Trevor Gunton tells me that we had 260 people through the centre on Sunday and that we saw 70 species of birds. This is a good number, especially when you consider that we did not include any birds seen in the quarry extension.

Eleven volunteers assisted on the day and we gave tho guided tours for 18 people. In addition 12 people came on the "tick or twitch" walk and raised £62 and we had two visiting RSPB groups from Burton on Trent (16) and Chesterfield (12).

Trevor worked his magic at the recruitment table and bagged us 10 new members.

Considering that the weather was not very good until late in the day, I think we did very well.
