Awards for Paxton volunteers
This week, two of our volunteers won awards for their outstanding service to the community. The scheme was organised by Cambridgeshire ACRE. Ray Matthews won his award for innovation, because of his constant drive to keep the reserve and the Friends moving forwards. Matthew Fox is one of our youngest volunteers. He started out as a midweek field worker and is now doing voluntarty wardening in the centre several times a week.
On a sad note, Christine Hill, one of our mid-week volunteers, lost her fight with cancer this week. We all miss her chatty friendship.
