Where are the cows?

This winter, we have no cows to graze the meadows. This is only the second time that this has happened in 18 years.

The control area for Blue Tongue Disease is very close to us and so movements are prohibited over a large area of Cambridgeshire and Northants. If we were to get cattle in, there would be a risk that they could not be moved out again when they ran out of grass, so we have decided not to seek any cattle until the spring.

We expect to have the Highland cattle and Border Leicester sheep back after Easter.
